GAPS FS provides agricultural products and services including seed, crop protection, and crop nutrients, and proudly serves 12 counties in Michigan: Gratiot, Clinton, Genesee, Ingham, Ionia, Isabella, Livingston, Mecosta, Midland, Montcalm, Saginaw, and Shiawassee.

OUR HISTORY
 

In 1998, GAPS, LLC was founded by Rob Blackwell in Ithaca with a vision of helping growers maximize their outputs. Through the years he piloted GAPS into the full-service seed, crop protection, fertilizer, and custom application experts we are today. The company expanded to include a second location in Middleton during 2012, and our Dry Fertilizer Facility in Fowler was added as a third facility in 2015. In 2018, GAPS became a retail division of GROWMARK and known as GAPS FS.

On January 1, 2026, GAPS FS became a division of Evergreen FS, a farmer-owned cooperative headquartered in Bloomington, Illinois. Incorporated in 1926, Evergreen has a nearly 100-year history of delivering excellent service and the best products to their customer base. This change positions us for long-term success while keeping the needs of our customers at the center of everything we do. Evergreen FS is a member of GROWMARK, INC., an agricultural cooperative serving the U.S. and Canada, which allows us to access and provide employees and patrons with services beyond the capabilities of our local cooperative.
