Ed Nickels, Crop Protection Manager/Sales
Ed Nickels has over three decades of management experience in agriculture.
The Perrinton resident joined the GAPS FS staff in 2009 and serves as the crop protection manager and a sales representative. Growing up in Wayland, Mich., he worked various agriculture jobs in high school before graduating from Michigan State with a degree in crop and soil science.
Ed spent five years working in the co-op system in the Pacific Northwest before returning to Michigan and managing Clinton Crop Service for 27 years.
When he joined the GAPS FS staff he was reunited with two individuals who helped bring into the agriculture industry — GAPS FS owner Rob Blackwell and custom application manager Russ Huyck.
Ed and his wife, Jane, have a son, Aaron, and four dogs, Joey, Jimmy, Otis and Dexter. He is an avid collector of Jack Daniel’s memorabilia and Coleman lanterns.
